Job Summary
To accurately provide inventory information for company controlled material stock. Monitor, organize and maintain inventory of company product at multiple branch locations.
Key Accountabilities
- Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill
- Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements
- Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material
- Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements
- Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags
- Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket
- Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff
- Perform verification of scrap
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
- Assist quality assurance team in activities related to credits
- Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up
- Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements
- This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery
- Meet all other TKMNA employee attributes and competencies
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
- Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory management system
- Ability to use tape measure and calipers for material inspection/measurement
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in written work and data entry
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. with or without accommodation
- Certification to operate material handling equipment, examples include forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry-picker
Preferred requirements:
- Some college course work, leading toward completion of degree
- 3 years of material control or inventory experience
- Previous experience safely operating a variety of material handling equipment (forklift, side-loader, etc.)
