The Interlake Steamship Company is hiring Deck Officers (Mates) for vessels operating on the Great Lakes.
About the role
Mates are responsible for safe navigation, watchstanding, cargo operations, and deck safety. Room and board are provided while aboard. Officer positions are MEBA represented.
Requirements
- Valid USCG Mate credential with Great Lakes and Inland authority
- First Class Pilot endorsement for applicable Great Lakes routes
- Unlimited Radar Observer endorsement
- FCC Marine Radio Operator Permit (FCC Form 605)
- Valid TWIC
- Current physical examination and DOT drug screen
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
