MAT Licensed Practical Nurse

About the role

As a MOUD/MAT Nurse, you'll provide skilled nursing care and medication-assisted treatment services to patients with opioid use disorders. You'll work closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor MOUD medications, including observed dosing, injections, and oral formulations
• Assess and monitor patients throughout the induction, stabilization, and maintenance phases of treatment
• Collaborate with providers, behavioral health staff, pharmacies, and treatment team members to coordinate patient care
• Respond to sick calls, provide patient education, conduct medication monitoring, and support continuity of care
• Serve as a patient advocate while promoting a non-judgmental, recovery-focused approach to treatment
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and confidentiality requirements

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred

Qualifications

Compassion and a commitment to helping patients achieve recovery and stability are essential qualities for this role. A strong foundation in nursing care and a willingness to learn about medication-assisted treatment (MAT) are also required.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of opioid use disorder treatment protocols
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
