About the role

As a clinician at Chrysalis Health, you will have the opportunity to provide individual and family therapy to a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. While most therapy sessions will be conducted in-person, we also offer some telehealth options for flexibility and convenience. Clients receive services mainly in person within the community, with some telehealth options available. There is no requirement to go to an office for administrative tasks or supervision; everything is done online or onsite with the client.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and determine the comprehensive mental health needs of clients with an array of patient ages and diagnoses.
  • Conduct and document client screenings, psychosocial assessments, progress notes, and referral information.
  • Deliver services to clients in the community; there is no requirement to go to an office.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance clinical outcomes of clients.
  • Identify resource requirements necessary to fulfill identified needs.
  • Collaborate with caregivers, physicians, school counselors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal client care.
  • Advocate for patient access to community resources.
  • Communicate treatment plans and progress to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Facilitate and offer individual and family therapy on psycho-social issues such as coping skills, stress reduction, and caregiver support.
  • Demonstrate professionalism to reassure patients of their care by a skilled and compassionate professional.

Requirements

  • Must reside within the State of Florida.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or related field. We also review candidates with degrees or majors in: Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, Forensic Psychology, Community Counseling, Psychology, Youth Counseling, Human Development, Behavioral Science, Art Therapy, and Psychiatric Rehabilitation. Transcripts must include at least four class codes containing content from the following areas:

    • Group Theories and Practice
    • Dynamics of Marriage and Family Systems
    • Individual Evaluation and Assessment
    • Research and Program Evaluation

    • Counseling in Community Settings
    • Substance Use Disorders
  • Creole-speaking preferred.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, ability to flex hours to meet client scheduling needs, and flexibility to provide services in client homes, schools, and other community settings.
  • Ability to utilize self-care techniques to achieve optimal work-life balance.
  • Compassionate, engaging, and a strong desire to help others.
  • Ability to document therapy services in an electronic medical records (EMR) platform.
