Master Scheduler

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to lead production planning, material scheduling, and procurement activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for aligning production schedules, material availability, and customer demand to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery. Position is on‑site in Grand Rapids, MI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, production capacity, and material availability.
• Coordinate with production, supply chain, procurement, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely product delivery.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address changes in demand, material shortages, equipment downtime, or other disruptions.
• Lead planning reviews and maintain forecasts for materials and resource requirements.
• Analyze production and inventory data to identify trends, improve scheduling accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure timely availability of materials through effective procurement planning and supplier coordination.
• Maintain accurate scheduling documentation, reports, and records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in planning and scheduling.
• Follow all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.

Pay

$75,000 - $95,000

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 40‑45 hours per week
