Master Product Scheduler
Position Summary
The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in a similar production planning role in a manufacturing setting. The Front End Planner will be responsible for information gathering, analysis, reporting, and establishing scheduling plans while working with various departments such as supply chain, contract managers, customer service, project teams and sales / distribution.
Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm.
Essential Responsibilities
- Solely responsible for the initial order review that establishes the high-level schedule plan for all Pump Orders
- Establish final project scheduled for Contract Managers after configuration is complete. This often will require obtaining special commitments from Global suppliers.
- Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and production planning teams to validate feasibility and delivery timelines
- Expedite and re-prioritize Seneca Falls Manufacturing needs and Vendors as required.
- Obtain data, participate and present metrics and countermeasures in daily management process
- Aid in reducing cycle time and increasing on time performance/revenue
- Review and manage excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory by prioritizing consumption of on-hand materials during order entry
- Process factory order change notifications and factory order change inquiries
- Support continuous improvement of planning parameters and quoting tools
- Participate in S&OP / demand planning processes
Position Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing setting is required
- Experience expediting parts and products through the manufacturing process
- Experience participating in inventory management and lead time planning
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Planning of foundry, machining, or fabrication areas/activities is required
- MRP experience including forecasting and stocking levels is required, SAP is preferred
- Strong communication skills to work with both domestic and international project teams
- Strong product/parts knowledge and understanding of manufacturing, purchasing and planning process
- Technical background/ability to interpret blueprints Lean inventory management process
- Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills
- Customer interface experience is required
