About the Role

The Master Planner is responsible for planning the Master Production Schedule provided by the Materials Flow Manager. The Master Planner will be the primary contact for the manufacturing site to resolve supply-related issues and owns the site capacity analysis used for creating a constrained supply plan.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with procurement, production manager, quality, engineering, program management, and other supply chain disciplines to proactively plan, schedule, and effectively manage development, production, and aftermarket support environments.
  • Develop daily production schedules.
  • Establish procedures for centralized demand estimating and production planning throughout the company for all products.
  • Manage inventory to maintain appropriate levels.
  • Coordinate the availability of raw materials for the production process.
  • Apply Lean and Green Belt tools in daily rapid problem-solving activities.
  • Effectively and promptly communicate with key stakeholders from Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Supply Chain regarding requirements and impacts.
  • Execute complex scheduling tasks while leading continuous improvement processes.
  • Drive process excellence and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Negotiate and communicate cross-functionally across the organization, coordinating with purchasing, inspection, engineering, manufacturing, sales, contracts, shipping, and receiving to exceed objectives.
  • Anticipate and resolve all disruptions, recognizing and eliminating barriers.
  • Demonstrate an active commitment to continuous improvement, encouraging recommendations and changes in procedures to streamline processes and increase efficiencies.
  • Complete work with no supervision and provide training and coaching to others as needed.
  • Follow established procedures and best practices.
  • Train new hires as a recognized expert.
  • Interact with team members and peers to anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues and competing project priorities.
  • Work efficiently with related project team members (Global Planning, other sites, Purchasing, etc.) to develop and implement continuous improvement solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of Supply Chain Experience.
  • APICS certification (preferred).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (required).
