JOB SUMMARY
The Master Planner manages project scheduling, capacity planning, and material coordination across departments. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role ensures production readiness by aligning engineering releases, material availability, and resource allocation within SAP.
- Develop and maintain cross-departmental project schedules and lead facility capacity and resource planning using SAP Project Systems.
- Chair weekly project milestone meetings and ensure system updates for all planned dates.
- Manage product structure releases, manufacturing orders, non-engineering allocations, and material scheduling.
- Verify availability of all materials and drawings before production starts and coordinate shop packet distribution (BOMs, drawings, tags).
- Prioritize inbound materials, manage job cart picking, and coordinate material dispatch for project installations.
- Monitor and report on group BOM release schedules and coordinate structure changes with the Engineering team.
- Review safety stock levels for standard materials and manage free-issued materials for outsourced assemblies.
- Execute shortage exception reporting and track NCR-related parts to final destinations.
- Collaborate with Customer Service on project scheduling, BOM changes, and excess stock returns.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- A 4 year College degree in Business Supply chain or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
- A high degree of mechanical aptitude, comprehension of engineering drawings and Bills of Material.
- 5-7 years of experience as a planner or in a similar role.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word and Project or other planning software.
- Ability to read piping & instrument diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self motivated, excellent organization, time management and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Project, Material & Production planning in a capital equipment manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Manufacturing ERP systems (SAP Preferred).
- Ability to work with minimum supervision with other disciplines in a job shop environment.

SALARY RANGE
- $73,000 - $90,000 per year.
- Overtime eligible.
