About the role
The Master Level Supervisor will oversee the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams (MCORT) in Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex and Union counties. The team will consist of Peer Support Specialists & Bachelor's Level Crisis Counselors. This position involves progress note review, crisis response decision making, technical assistance provision, and continuous staff development.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise direct care staff, including regular supervision, managing schedules, and addressing any performance issues.
- Review individual care plans developed by the staff to ensure that the appropriate level of care is being utilized and that the treatment plan is clinically supported.
- Evaluate staff productivity, documentation of service delivery and billing.
- Be available for on-call clinical consultation or in-person case reviews with to determine the most appropriate intervention or if a higher level of care is necessary.
- Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance as needed and clinical oversight for day-to-day operations.
- Work with community referral sources and stabilization provider networks regarding case management and linkages to stabilization and aftercare services.
Requirements
- MUST have a Master's degree in a mental health related discipline.
- 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage crises.
- Exceptional writing and assessment skills.
- Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to make and maintain contacts and positive relationships with individuals who receive or have received mental health and/or substance abuse services.
- Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- MUST have a valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
