Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Secure necessary permits and ensure all projects meet local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to plan wiring layouts for new constructions or renovations.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown.
- Estimate materials, labor costs, and timelines for upcoming projects.
- Mentor and supervise apprentice and journeyman electricians, fostering a culture of safety and precision.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid North Carolina Electrical Unlimited License.
- Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in the electrical trade.
- Knowledge: Deep expertise in the NEC and local building codes.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced Diagnostics: Proficiency with voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Project Planning: Ability to manage budgets, vendors, and schedules.
- Communication: Explaining technical issues clearly to clients and management.
- Safety Leadership: Strict adherence to OSHA and NFPA 70E standards.
Pay
Competitive pay in the $75,000–$100,000 range, with additional performance-based earnings tied to your contribution and project success.
