About the role
Dr. Wilkinson's Backyard Resort & Mineral Springs in Calistoga is seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Massage Therapists. Ideal candidates will provide professional, therapeutic, and rejuvenating massage therapies and body treatments to spa guests. This is an on-site, non-exempt position reporting to the Spa Director.
Responsibilities
- To perform all massage and body work services including table and chair massage, body treatments, bath treatments, foot treatments following the established protocols, and allotted treatment times.
- To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- To provide the highest level of personalized guest service while maintaining an enthusiastic and helpful attitude.
- To conserve and monitor supplies and assets of the spa.
- To attend all scheduled treatment and product knowledge training sessions.
- To directly set and maintain high standards of service and cleanliness.
- To assist in the training of other team members as directed.
- To assist with special projects, events, and promotions as needed.
- To promote spa services and products throughout the property.
- To use available time to help with spa operations as requested.
- To up-sell treatments to guests as appropriate.
- To prescribe in written format home care products and treatment as appropriate.
- To represent the spa and hotel in a positive and professional manner as requested.
- To continually market the spa internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships.
- To comply with all company policies and procedures.
- To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
- To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
- To follow all company safety standards, including proper equipment handling to avoid injury to yourself and others.
- To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
- To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
Requirements
- Must adhere to state sanitation laws and requirements.
- Must have an ability to learn new spa services to meet the needs of the spa.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
- Must have an understanding of sales and the importance of meeting goals.
- Must be trustworthy and reliable.
- Patience and tact required to accommodate customer needs, and resolve occasional difficult situations.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid massage license.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a spa setting.
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to work weekends.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $16.99 per hour including commission + tips.
Schedule
This is an on-site, non-exempt position requiring weekend availability.
