Massage Therapist (part-time)

About the Role

HealthFitness has an exciting opportunity for a Massage Therapist to join the team at our client site located in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you'll provide professional massage therapy services in a welcoming, wellness-focused environment while building meaningful relationships with clients and supporting their health goals.

Schedule

• Part-time, up to 29 hours per week
• Hours based on client appointments

Facility Operating Hours:
Monday through Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Administer professional massage services to a wide variety of members and guests.
• Perform numerous massage modalities and adjust delivery mode to address the needs of each customer.
• Demonstrate a general understanding of body treatments and be willing and able to learn the products and services provided.
• Deliver on-site chair massage in a corporate setting (including incidental travel, set-up, and tear-down) in addition to a spa-like environment within a fitness center.
• Function as an active member of an integrated health and wellness team and support department-wide events and strategies.

Requirements

• Massage Therapy License for the state of Michigan required.
• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
• 2+ years of massage therapy experience required.
• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
• Experience in sports massage techniques.
• Good communication skills; listening and verbal.

Pay

This is a commissioned position. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. We strive to provide a competitive wage within the market.
