About the Role

Our client, a well-established and growing plaintiff law firm, is seeking a Mass Tort Attorney to join its Birmingham, Alabama office. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for individuals harmed by dangerous products, pharmaceuticals, or environmental exposures and is looking to make a meaningful impact while advancing their legal career. This position offers the chance to work alongside an experienced litigation team handling complex, high-profile mass tort matters from case evaluation through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of mass tort matters from intake through resolution.
• Review medical records, case documentation, and supporting evidence.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Work closely with clients throughout the litigation process, providing exceptional communication and guidance.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support staff to develop case strategy.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and other litigation activities.
• Stay current on developments in mass tort litigation and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Alabama, or ability to obtain admission.
• Prior litigation experience required; mass tort, personal injury, or complex civil litigation experience is highly preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and case management abilities.
