Responsibilities

  • Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
  • Create memorable experiences for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for martial arts
  • Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
  • Help children understand why martial arts is so wonderful and how it's helped shape you as a person

Requirements

  • A fun, enthusiastic, adaptable instructor
  • Experience teaching school age children
  • Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
  • Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Bring your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
  • Be cooperative, supportive, and flexible
  • Be dependable, proactive, and thrive when given autonomy

Qualifications

  • Relevant teaching experience
  • If lacking formal teaching experience, provide any other relevant experience or training in a cover letter or on the application questionnaire
