About the role
This position is for a Marriage and Family Therapist at North Kern State Prison (NKSP), located in Delano, CA.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to inmates.
- Assess and evaluate inmate mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for inmates.
- Conduct group therapy sessions and lead workshops on topics relevant to inmate populations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
- Participate in regular supervision and case conferences with senior therapists.

Qualifications
- Current/Valid License as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
- Experience in providing therapy to incarcerated populations.
- Knowledge of correctional settings and mental health issues affecting inmates.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse inmate population.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong clinical skills in marriage and family therapy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
