About the role
This position is for a Marriage and Family Therapist at California Men's Colony (CMC) in San Luis Obispo, CA.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide therapy to inmates focusing on family dynamics and relationship issues.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to guide therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain client records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and needs.
Requirements
- Possession of a current/valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
- Completion of a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.
- At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a correctional facility.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in a high-stress environment.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Skills
- Knowledge of family systems theory and its application in therapy.
- Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches for correctional settings.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Pay
$7,294.00 - $10,378.00 per month.
Schedule
Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed.
