Job Description
The successful candidate will provide education and enrollment assistance to help consumers understand their healthcare options, answer questions, and support the enrollment process. This role requires a deep understanding of the Healthcare.gov system, compassion for underserved populations, and a commitment to improving health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate individuals and families on Healthcare.gov coverage options, including the benefits and limitations of various plans.
- Aid clients in navigating the Healthcare.gov platform, explaining the application process and eligibility criteria.
- Help clients apply for subsidies and other financial assistance programs to lower their insurance costs.
- Conduct outreach activities to increase awareness of Healthcare.gov and encourage enrollment, especially among underserved communities.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and ensure compliance with all privacy and data security protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with Healthcare.gov policies, changes to enrollment periods, and program updates.
- Participate in community events and information sessions to educate the public on Healthcare.gov and health insurance options.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social services agencies, and other community partners to facilitate enrollment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of direct experience as a Healthcare.gov Navigator or similar role, with a thorough understanding of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Health Insurance Marketplace.
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service, healthcare navigation, benefits administration, or case management experience.
- Certification as a Healthcare.gov Navigator (if required by state/federal regulations).
- Strong knowledge of the enrollment process, subsidy calculations, and healthcare options available on Healthcare.gov.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills and be detail oriented.
- Strong writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Prolonged sitting and computer work.
- Must be able to handle confidential sensitive medical information.
- Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management systems (i.e. Salesforce and Tableau), workforce management tools, Google Workplace, Slack and minimal usage of Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing benefits counseling, healthcare, eligibility analysis, advocacy or case management.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations or individuals navigating serious health or financial challenges.
- Experience coordinating employer-sponsored benefits with federal and state programs.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are helpful.

Travel

Pay Range
The Pay Range For This Role Is 52,000 - 65,000 USD per year(Remote (United States))
