About the role
The Marketing Specialist supports the Creative & Brand Expression function and broader Marketing team with a primary emphasis on in-store décor project execution, creative trafficking, administrative support, and social media coverage. This role suits a candidate with a creative sensibility, strong organizational and project management skills, and interest in how brand strategy comes to life at retail. While weighted toward in-store décor and brand production under the direction of the Creative & Brand Expression Director, the role retains a generalist scope, supporting internal communications, social media content, and cross-team marketing initiatives as directed.
Responsibilities
- In-store décor
- Support the planning, development, and execution of in-store décor programs, coordinating with the Creative & Brand Expression Director to ensure brand-consistent seasonal and evergreen signage across Save Mart, Lucky, and FoodMaxx banners
- Manage décor asset trafficking, print vendor coordination, versioning management, and store-level implementation support
- Coordinate with the Creative & Brand Expression Director on all décor updates, approvals, and production timelines
- Creative trafficking
- Contribute to brand and creative production: trafficking, proofing, asset organization, and file management
- Coordinate with agency partners (creative, print production) on campaign execution and on-time delivery of marketing materials to internal teams
- Administrative duties & ad hoc support
- Provide ad support including ad packets production, ad posting and ad requests
- Assist with tracking marketing program budgets, purchase orders, and expenses, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation
- Support ad hoc marketing initiatives and special projects as directed by the Creative & Brand Expression Director and the Sr Director, Integrated Marketing
- Apply AI tools and platforms to support content development, workflow efficiency, and marketing production across the team
- Prepare presentations as needed
- Social media support
- Assist channel lead in managing and scheduling content across brand social media channels, including content calendar support, copywriting, and community engagement
Requirements
- Up to 20% travel to store locations and special events within our trade areas required
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in marketing, creative production, or a related field
- 4-year Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience/training
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- A strong understanding of the retail environment and the shopper journey, particularly related to store signage, décor, wayfinding, and new store openings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to adapt tone for different audiences
- Creative sensibility and interest in retail brand expression, in-store marketing, and visual communications
- Experience with or strong interest in social media content creation, community engagement, and content calendars
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
- Digitally savvy with curiosity about emerging marketing and content tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred
- Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Suite
- Familiarity with AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) and enthusiasm for applying them to marketing workflows
- Experience with materials, finishes, fabrication, or environmental graphics

Pay
Hiring pay range: $29.18 – $32.83
Work Environment
Office, with occasional travel to store locations and special events.
