Marketing Specialist (Central Texas; North Austin)
KBR is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support the SPARC Program within our Science and Space division. We provide solutions for NASA, federal-civilian agencies, the U.S. Department of Defense, and commercial customers, including astronaut training, health and human performance, spacecraft and satellite development, operations, and support services. This role focuses on supporting research and treatment studies for brain health within the military and Veteran community, working with a top-tier research team to build community support and awareness for the program’s initiatives.
About the role
As the Marketing Specialist, you will provide strategic and tactical guidance to create and implement a comprehensive marketing and outreach campaign aligned with program objectives. You will lead community outreach efforts, develop local strategies, and collaborate with the project team to achieve goals related to brain donation and research study awareness. This role involves significant fieldwork, with at least 75% of your time spent engaging directly with partners, driving across the region for site visits, and building community relationships, particularly with end-of-life partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outreach initiatives to achieve program objectives in the assigned region.
- Coordinate program scheduling, materials management, and event planning for outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with peers across regions to build a cohesive and standardized approach.
- Plan and coordinate outreach events, including participation in community events and conferences.
- Implement promotional strategies with a strategic mindset.
- Support administrative tasks related to marketing initiatives.
- Drive program objectives through directed activities to achieve its mission.
- Manage executive-level relationships and present in highly collaborative settings.
- Conduct outreach at events and conferences, including follow-up contact management.
- Track team performance goals to achieve outcomes associated with brain donation initiatives.
- Evaluate effectiveness and generate real-time insights into team performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, with 3-5 years of engagement and outreach experience. An additional 4 years of directly related Field Marketing experience may substitute for the degree.
- Prior experience implementing and coordinating outreach initiatives in medical sales, end-of-life sales/marketing, law enforcement, civic leadership, military/veteran partnerships, or similar roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, tools, and processes.
- Experience utilizing marketing and outreach tools, including print, presentation, audio, and video.
- Reliable transportation and a current driver’s license due to daily use of a personal vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in end-of-life and/or military environments.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant regional partners.
