Marketing Specialist
Position Summary
The Marketing Specialist is an early-career marketing professional who supports the Chamber's marketing efforts across brand, membership, events, and communications. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented marketer eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Campaign & Content Support:
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and print channels.
- Aid in the creation and scheduling of social media content, ensuring consistency with brand voice and editorial calendar.
- Draft copy for email newsletters, event promotions, member communications, and website updates.
- Coordinate asset production with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring deliverables are on brand and on time.
- Event Marketing Support:
- Support marketing efforts for Chamber signature events, programs, and member activations.
- Aid in the development of event promotional materials including digital graphics, email campaigns, and social content.
- Cook up event logistics support as it relates to marketing and communications needs.
- Member & Investor Marketing Support:
- Support member onboarding communications and engagement campaigns throughout the member lifecycle.
- Aid in the development of member-facing marketing materials that highlight Chamber programs, initiatives, and resources.
- Help track and report on member engagement metrics to inform ongoing marketing strategy.
- Administrative & Operational Support:
- Maintain and update the marketing calendar, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are accurately tracked.
- Organize and manage digital asset libraries including images, templates, and branded materials.
- Conduct research and compile competitive and industry insights to support campaign development and strategic planning.
- Support the marketing team with meeting preparation, reporting, and general administrative needs.
Job Specifications & Requirements
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or related role; internship experience considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content scheduling tools like Sprout.
- Hightly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- PREFERRED:
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana.
- Basic design skills using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of or interest in the Greater Philadelphia business community.
- Experience working in a nonprofit, civic, or membership-based organization.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000 annually, plus the opportunity to earn additional performance-based incentives.
