About the role
As a Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the marketing strategy for Terracon’s Austin office. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the proposal process: writing, editing, designing, and producing effective proposals in partnership with project managers, business development, and marketing staff. This will require creativity, collaboration, communication, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates proposal preparation including scheduling milestones and reviews, conducting reviews, working with project managers, and marketing staff to ensure quality material is submitted and delivered on schedule.
- Schedules and conducts proposal kick-off meetings with project managers, principals, and other pursuit team members to strategize for a winning proposal.
- Researches, writes, and edits proposal materials (including project profiles and firm capabilities).
- Verifies and formats proposal information in Microsoft Word or Adobe InDesign.
- Leads the process of editing and customizing professional and technical staff resumes for use in proposals, qualifications submittals, and related documents.
- Ensures that the various aspects of the proposals (Technical Scope, Staff Qualification and Experience, Biographical Data, etc.) and other marketing materials are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
- Inputs pursuit data and generates reports from CRM and is a resource to other CRM users.
- Assists with internal office communications and event planning.
- Follows safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
- Participates in pre-task planning and reports any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Maintains quality standards on all projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related degree and 2 years’ marketing and communications experience. Alternatively, in lieu of a degree, 6 years’ related experience.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Qualifications
- A/E/C industry knowledge is highly desired.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and/or other Adobe Creative Suite programs.
- Experience with a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system is a plus, but not a requirement.
