Marketing Specialist
About the role
NC State Campus Enterprises is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support Wolfpack Outfitters (the official NC State bookstore) and its key subsidiaries, including Wolf Xpress Print and Copy. This role involves building a buzzing digital community, launching seasonal campaigns, and telling compelling brand stories.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute multi-channel marketing and communication plans to boost brand awareness and sales.
Own the annual promotional calendar, including product launches and seasonal retail campaigns.
Craft and deploy integrated campaigns across email, social media, web, digital ads, and more.
Partner with the graphic designer, mentor a student social media team, and collaborate with key stakeholders to produce creative assets.
Manage paid and organic digital marketing efforts, leveraging Google Advertising and social media to reach target audiences.
Coordinate and lead lifestyle and studio product photoshoots featuring students, staff, and community members.
Manage homepage features, promotions, and engaging content for the Wolfpack Outfitters e-commerce experience.
Build dashboards and reports to analyze campaign performance and digital touchpoints, using data to refine marketing strategy.
Stay informed on retail marketing trends, consumer behavior, and emerging platforms to keep the brand innovative and culturally relevant.
Support broader Campus Enterprises marketing, PR, and division-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies using a variety of media, with an emphasis on web, email, and social media.
Copyright and editing experience with an understanding of basic advertising and copyright laws.
Prior direct retail marketing and public relations experience.
Professional and internship experience relevant to the position’s requirements.
