Marketing Specialist

About the Role

The Marketing Specialist will support legal marketing, business development, and communication initiatives to advance the firm’s brand in the Phoenix market. The position works directly with the firm’s Director of Marketing and Business Development and various professionals.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with office leadership, attorneys, directors, and managers to strategically drive the firm’s marketing goals in the Phoenix market.
• Develop relationships with attorneys to serve as their point of contact for day-to-day marketing and business development needs.
• Organize and host client-facing and community events, including preparing conference/webinar materials and managing all aspects of events (concept, agenda, invitations, venue coordination, etc.).
• Evaluate return on investment before and after each event and closely manage the budget.
• Handle directory submissions, including Chambers and others.
• Strategize with shareholders on responses to RFPs and proposals, including analyzing market research, prospective clients, and business sectors.
• Draft responses and prepare presentations as necessary.
• Prepare data for nominations, media surveys, and reports.
• Write, edit, and distribute marketing materials, newsletters, conference materials, client updates, website content, and other client communications.
• Recommend and support office sponsorships, memberships, and event attendance to increase the firm’s visibility in the Phoenix market.
• Collaborate with the firmwide marketing team on client-facing and internal marketing materials for Phoenix, including attorney biographies, practice area updates, experience tracking, news, press releases, and website content.
• Share knowledge of the Phoenix market, including the business community and key charitable and civic organizations.
• Assist with and manage a variety of short- and long-term projects and attorney requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Four to six years of relevant experience in marketing or business development.
• Experience at a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred.
