About the role
The Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of PR & Communications to develop and execute marketing and communication strategies for the organization. This position involves working closely with various departments and external agencies to produce and distribute marketing materials that align with the organization's business goals and mission.
Responsibilities
- Handles graphic design needs for the marketing department, including creating and preparing collateral and signage for internal and external events like Goodwill Goes GLAM! and managing digital content for social media platforms.
- Aids in the preparation and coordination of marketing materials and signage for various events and promotions.
- Supports the distribution of email notifications, press releases, eNewsletters, and employee newsletters.
- Assists in donor processing and tracking, generating recognition letters, and tracking the performance of marketing campaigns.
- Coordinates the delivery of marketing collateral and manages promotional and office inventory orders.
- Updates and maintains email lists and coordinates their distribution.
- Tracks and reports on the results of marketing campaigns, including sales activity, donor counts, subscriberhip, redemption results, and media monitoring.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
- A valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle with current registration are required.
Qualifications
- Self-starter with prior marketing experience and strong initiative.
- Very detail-oriented with experience in social media management and graphic design tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
Skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation is based on experience and a competitive benefits package is offered.
Schedule
The schedule is full-time, with core hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4pm. Evening and weekend hours are required as needed for the demands of the job. Travel may be required.
