Responsibilities
- Identifies the optimal brand strategy for products in the North American market.
- Creates and executes a plan to communicate our brand to potential and existing customers using both conventional and modern marketing tools.
- Plans, documents, and coordinates the marketing of products and technology for North America.
- Requires coordination with the Marketing group in Germany.
- Develops annual North American Marketing budget and manages activities within budget limits.
- Manages relations with Advertisers, Local Associations and Industry Organizations.
- Manages North American based Corporate Social Media accounts (e.g. LinkedIn).
- Proofreads English translations of German documents for readability prior to distribution.
- Responsible for the look and feel of the U.S. locations with the Office Admin.
- Manages and executes internal company events.
- Facilitates the North American Customer Satisfaction Survey process.
- Manages the selection and preparation of trade shows in North America as well as the internal activities related to shows.
- Requires coordination with the Corporate Communications in Germany.
- Develops and maintains company PowerPoint and other presentation materials.
- Develops and maintains marketing displays, sample products, and trade show booth itself.
- Manages pre and post trade show activities.
- Facilitates the creation of North American Strategy Papers and the coordination of Market Research per the company strategy process.
- Requires coordination with Program Management in Germany.
- Captures and analyzes forecast data and provides summaries to the Key Account Managers using the IHS and other market information.
- Supports the Key Account Managers with a plausibility study of their forecast based on the database.
- Stays up-to-date on market trends and emerging markets for product segments.
- Provides summaries to management and sales teams on shifts that could impact the company financial performance positively or negatively.
- Understands the higher level corporate long range plans and strategy and ensures that the plans are being followed.
- Takes on other tasks at Management’s discretion.
Qualifications
- A four-year business or technical degree.
- Experience working in the automotive, pharmaceutical, aviation, or industrial industry.
- Experience working in a multi-national matrix organization and balancing the requirements of multiple stakeholders.
- Strong computer and data analysis skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite of tools, working within marketing databases (e.g. IHS) and experience with SAP or Oracle.
- Strong organization skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Sets correct image representing the company.
- Team player and the ability to interface at all organizational layers.
- Basic German and Spanish language skills preferred but not required.
