Marketing Specialist
Brief Description
The GEOTEK Marketing Specialist position supports Sales and Marketing efforts for all GEOTEK products by helping generate and execute product marketing communication. This work further emphasizes the product value we deliver to the Utility and C&I markets. The position reports to and directly supports the Marketing Manager, but in our team environment, also has close contact with the Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering resources.
About the Role
This role is ideal for a candidate with a sales mindset who can interpret and reinvent market messaging for technically driven products.
Essential Functions
- Enhance and deploy product messaging for multiple product lines.
- Maintain all collateral and digital assets, not limited to product brochures, customer presentations, websites, and sales aids.
- Project manage collateral refreshes.
- Work with Marketing Manager and Product Managers to develop and execute communication plans for all GEOTEK manufactured products.
- Work with internal, cross-functional resources to develop and deploy technical product messaging for existing and new product lines.
- Work with Marketing Manager and Product Managers to fill customer value gaps and market opportunity with internal and external communication.
- Refined approach based on product and market specifics.
- Photo and Video production as needed.
- Provide management and governance of product Brand Guidelines.
- Messaging Platforms (current and growing)
- Manage E-communication (MailChimp and LinkedIn) to end customers and our sales channel partners.
- Manage multiple Product Websites and 1 Corporate Website (WordPress) with internal, IT department.
- Sales Team Support
- Work with Regional Sales teams to coordinate Customer Plant Visits, resourcing established product content and providing additional administrative oversight as required.
- Own product literature and sales aid sourcing, ordering, and inventory.
- Fulfill shipping requests of materials to our sales channels.
- Own national and regional tradeshow exhibitor participation, including registration, booth material development, shipping, and logistics.
- Attend trade shows as required.
- Support Internal and External Product Training with Marketing Manager as needed.
- Misc project management as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to navigate the complex value chain common to selling to specific markets; leveraging manufacturer’s representatives, understanding distributor influence, and engaging with end users in order to maintain preferred product position.
- Demonstrated capability of successful cross-departmental collaboration, possessing the ability to understand multiple points of view in order to create solutions that meet both customer and business needs.
- 2-5 years’ experience of demonstrated success in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering within an industrial or manufacturing company, with the ability to articulate an understanding of and interest in the other two functions.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; including setting customer meetings, presenting a position, and capturing follow-up.
- Ability to collaborate with a small team of commercially focused professionals in a largely horizontal manufacturing organization.
- Knowledge of the utility and/or C&I industry preferred but not required.
- Competence in MS Office applications.
- Competence in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Canva, with the ability to produce polished, professional visual assets across design, layout, and digital content needs.
- Experience using key digital communication platforms, including WordPress, MailChimp, and LinkedIn, to manage content, campaigns, and audience engagement.
- Proficiency in navigating Google Analytics to extract data, build dashboards, and develop clear, actionable performance reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, general business, or engineering related fields required.

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is $75,542 - $100,722 annually. Final offers may vary based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The posted range represents the expected earning potential for this position within the current organizational budget and market conditions.
