Marketing Specialist
About the role
The Marketing Specialist will develop and implement marketing strategies and business development initiatives, encouraging participation from attorneys and practice groups, ensuring consistent brand messaging, designing and writing marketing content, managing website content and events, supporting certification courses, developing relationships with client organizations and industry members, managing vendor relationships, creating public relations opportunities, maintaining attorney biographies, publishing content across social media channels, leading monthly marketing meetings, monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing trends, creating reports in ProLaw databases, and presenting findings to the managing attorney quarterly.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and business development initiatives
- Encourage participation from attorneys and practice groups
- Serve as the firm’s storyteller
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all formats
- Design and write marketing content
- Manage website content and events
- Support certification courses by maintaining course books, publishing content updates, and managing online technology
- Develop relationships with client organizations and industry members
- Manage vendor relationships with printers and photographers
- Create public relations opportunities
- Maintain attorney biographies
- Publish content across social media channels
- Lead monthly marketing meetings with attorneys to review recent marketing activities and future opportunities
- Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, create reports in ProLaw databases, and present findings to the managing attorney quarterly
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field
- 10+ years of increasing responsibilities leading to leadership roles in marketing
- Previous experience marketing B2B companies, particularly professional services
- Knowledge of AP Style; familiarity with legal style guides and legal writing preferred
