Do you love creating engaging social media content, designing eye-catching graphics, and helping promote women’s health? Virginia Physicians for Women is looking for a creative and motivated Marketing & Social Media Intern to join the team this fall/winter semester.
About the role
This internship offers hands-on experience in healthcare marketing while supporting Richmond’s leading women's healthcare practice. Position has potential to work hybrid from VPFW’s Koger Center -Midlothian location and intern’s home location.
Responsibilities
- Create social media content across multiple digital platforms.
- Design graphics, videos, flyers, and promotional materials using Canva.
- Help coordinate and respond to Google Reviews.
- Update website and blog content.
- Support Breast Cancer Awareness, Women's Wellness, and community outreach events.
- Aid in fundraising, educational seminars, symposiums, and community partnerships.
- Create internal signage and marketing materials.
- Aid in photography, video content, and event promotion.
- Track social media engagement and marketing performance.
- Support special marketing projects and administrative initiatives.
Requirements
- Current college or graduate student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Tech-savvy with experience using Canva and social media platforms.
- Organized and dependable, with excellent attention to detail.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortably taking initiative while asking thoughtful questions.
- Collaborative, works well with others.
- Interest in healthcare marketing is a plus.
