Marketing & Purchasing Federal Work Study
About the role
Franklin University is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated students to join our Marketing & Purchasing Work-Study Program. This position offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience while developing valuable skills in communication, teamwork, event support, customer service, marketing, and project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the organization, inventory management, distribution, and tracking of university promotional items, apparel, and swag.
- Support social media content creation and event coverage.
- Represent Franklin University at campus and community events.
- Assist with commencement activities, including merchandise and apparel sales.
- Provide administrative and operational support to Marketing and Purchasing projects.
- Engage in outreach efforts that promote university programs, events, and student engagement opportunities.
- Complete special projects and assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be a current Franklin student and have Federal Work Study eligibility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable interacting with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with social media platforms is preferred but not required.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Work Study: Up to 20 hours per week.
- On-campus availability preferred: Tuesday through Thursday.
- Flexible scheduling based on student availability and departmental needs.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to support university events and special programs.
- Physical activities may include lifting, organizing, and transporting promotional materials and event supplies.
