About the Role

This position supports environmental practitioners by developing compliant and compelling proposals, opportunity-specific statements of qualifications, presentations, and sales-support materials. The specialist will coordinate submissions from planning through delivery, contribute to Go/No-Go decisions, and help develop effective response strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate competitive proposals from initial planning through final delivery.
  • Lead the production of proposals and SOQs, including compliance reviews, win themes, editing, graphics, reproduction, and on-time submission.
  • Maintain pursuit schedules and tracking systems while keeping technical and marketing teams informed.
  • Support pursuit planning, client outreach, and Go/No-Go bid opportunities.
  • Prepare written and visual materials for client presentations and marketing campaigns.
  • Work with technical teams and subject-matter experts to develop compelling content.
  • Maintain proposal, project, resume, boilerplate, image, client, and consultant content libraries.
  • Conduct market and competitor research and assist with digital content, news announcements, graphics, and proofreading.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or public relations plus at least four years of progressive professional experience in engineering, architecture, or commercial construction; or eight years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Demonstrated critical and analytical writing ability.
  • Strong formatting, editing, proofreading, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and manage competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently.
  • Familiarity with Illustrator and some graphic design experience is preferred.

Pay

The California base salary range is $76,345-$114,520 per year. Actual compensation is determined by education, experience, skill set, and location.

Locations: San Diego, Rancho Cordova, Costa Mesa, or Los Angeles, California; Boca Raton, Florida. Fully remote work may be available at the company's discretion. Regular full-time employment.
