About the role
AECOM is looking for a Marketing Proposal Specialist to join the East Region Marketing team. This will be a hybrid position including a combination of both remote and in-office, that can be based in, but not limited to: Hunt Valley, MD.
Responsibilities
- Assists with large proposals and able to lead small to medium proposals (cross regions or business lines), and supports from capture through to interview stage, as required.
- Captures and coordinates content and information for qualifications and proposals, including schedule, templates, compliance, content plan and production.
- Provides conceptual leadership for document design. May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals.
- Serves as facilitator for color review (Pink and Red team) reviews, and applies lessons learned to add value to proposals.
- Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.
- Participates in go/no-go and greenlight analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal.
- Completes internal debriefs for proposals they lead and reviews debriefs and reviews client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Has solid working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory).
- Liaises with appropriate/relevant business line team, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information (including but not limited to case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries).
- Provides guidance to entry level proposal team members.
- Performs a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and/or support proposal activity or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in MS Office (current version): Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; as well as desktop publishing software (Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong written communication skills.
- The ability to recognize, process, and present written information.
- Organizational, writing/researching/editing, and time management skills.
- Strong organizational aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate within a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing.
- Prior experience working within the AEC industry.
