Marketing Partnerships Lead
About the role
We’re looking for a Marketing Partnerships Lead to identify, structure, and scale high-impact strategic partnerships that unlock new growth channels for Dave. This role sits within the User Acquisition team and focuses on building net-new marketing and distribution partnerships that expand how people discover Dave. You will identify high-potential partners, structure creative commercial agreements, and bring partnerships to market that reach millions of potential members. You’ll work closely with teams across growth, product, legal, finance, analytics, and business operations. Not everything will be fully defined—part of the role is helping shape how partnerships become a meaningful growth lever for Dave.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead Dave's strategy for strategic distribution partnerships and alternative growth channels beyond traditional affiliate and paid media programs.
- Build and manage a pipeline of partner opportunities through proactive outreach and ongoing market evaluation, spanning platforms, ecosystems, and emerging distribution models.
- Own the end-to-end partnership lifecycle: sourcing, pitching, commercial structuring, negotiation, onboarding, and ongoing management, with a focus on deals that drive durable member growth.
- Lead negotiations for complex commercial agreements in close partnership with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing, ensuring structures that support long-term growth and member trust.
- Collaborate with Product to explore integrations, co-branded experiences, and embedded financial solutions that create new acquisition opportunities aligned to Dave's roadmap.
- Launch and scale partnerships from concept through implementation, working with Analytics and Marketing to measure performance and improve results over time.
- Lead by influence across the org: sharing partnership insights, surfacing best practices, and deepening collaborations as Dave's product ecosystem expands.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, enterprise sales, or growth partnerships.
- Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, and launching high-impact commercial partnerships.
- Partnerships experience in fintech, financial services, lending, e-commerce, or other regulated industries.
- Ability to build partnership strategies grounded in data, performance insights, and business outcomes.
- Strong experience negotiating complex commercial agreements across cross-functional stakeholders.
What makes someone successful here
You take responsibility for outcomes, not just deals. You think about how partnerships affect the broader business—from acquisition efficiency to member experience and long-term growth. You work well across teams, coordinating with legal, product, analytics, and marketing while building trust. When new information changes the path forward, you adjust thoughtfully while keeping momentum. Feedback and collaboration sharpen the work.
What to expect
You’ll have meaningful ownership in shaping how partnerships contribute to Dave’s growth. Some opportunities will be clear, while others will require experimentation and creative thinking. Decisions are grounded in data, member impact, and long-term business outcomes.
