About the role
The Marketing Operations Officer will assist with the overall operations and service-related responsibilities for the Marketing Department in order to enhance its focus on advertising, promotional awareness, and meeting the Bank's strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the team to execute marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with project timelines, brand vision, and budget constraints.
- Proactively manages aspects of Department operations and obtain high standard/strong audit results with Marketing, social media, and Advertising audits.
- Affords non-interest expense control and improvements. Monitors and maintains expense accounts and budgets. Implements and oversees monthly control and timely submission of Department reports.
- Assists with Bank event related activities such as location searches, contract reviews, expense control, and budget tracking.
- Manages the operations of marketing campaigns and creative development workflows, safeguards projects adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Pairs with Business Unit leaders and key collaborators to ensure that new workflows and processes are understood, followed, and evaluated.
- Manages workflows to ensure project execution and meeting deadlines for all marketing projects and deliverables.
- Works with the Creative Manager on marketing/advertising concepts to ensure applicability of relevant rules/regulations.
- Ensures that advertised product(s) and services(s) have been risk-rated and have been through proper and adequate due diligence.
- Amends and enhances existing programs, policies and procedures, and checklists as needed for the approval process.
- Effectively communicates with project owners regarding advertising submissions and educates them accordingly.
- Coincides with team members to follow up on pending issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Proactively notifies project leads if projects are at risk of missing deadlines.
- Ensures that all multi-channel initiatives are added to the department’s calendar and that the project leader and all team members are documented as contributors.
- Proactively provides summary of final project spends along with an ongoing budget tracking snapshot for review by departmental management.
- Manages the Marketing on Demand (MOD) platform and ensures that the system is operational, legacy materials are up-to-date, and the inventory is consistently updated with relevant, useful materials.
- Ensures fulfillment orders are processed and completed in a timely manner. Tracks order progress and coordinates with relevant departments and vendors to resolve any issues or delays.
- Maintains the department’s Outlook inbox throughout the day. Categorizes and prioritizes incoming emails to ensure urgent matters are addressed promptly.
- Assists when needed to maintain advertising tear sheets and records to support compliance requests and audits.
- Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
- Provides, present, and promote the Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree(A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to effectively present information to management.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Computer & Software Skills to perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Physical demands of standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
- Physical demands of occasional lifting and/or moving up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
