Southern Farm Bureau’s Marketing Multimedia & E-Services department is seeking a Marketing Multimedia Specialist to create and maintain design and sales support tools that drive sales and profitability. This role collaborates with marketing, sales, sales support, and other teams to ensure consistent messaging aligned with company values and goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop communication pieces and concepts in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Create content for print and electronic publications, website development, social media marketing, meeting planning, and media relations.
- Plan and develop communications for internal clients related to marketing, development initiatives, events, and general internal/external written or online content.
- Ensure consistent messaging that supports SFBLI’s vision, mission, and values, adhering to brand standards and Associated Press style/grammar.
- Schedule and proof materials to ensure quality assurance.
- Collaborate with external advertising agencies on special marketing and communications projects.
- Develop multimedia packages, including letters, brochures, and video content.
- Coordinate photographic projects, acting as in-house photographer for staff photos, company stock photos, events, and other projects.
- Serve as videographer, capturing and editing video footage with voiceovers, audio mixes, and other elements as needed.
- Handle marketing media relations, including answering inquiries, composing press releases, and maintaining a media contact list.
- Develop and post news stories, visuals, email messages, presentation materials, and video scripts.
- Assist marketing management with internal and external communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- Two years of experience as a Marketing Multimedia Specialist or comparable role.
- Working knowledge of graphic design standards and software.
- Working knowledge of web content management systems.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
- Thorough knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain multimedia concepts clearly to non-experts.
- Dependable, well-organized, and effective time manager.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, sharing knowledge to achieve common goals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and adapting to changing deadlines.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to take direction from multiple project owners.
