About the role
LAcarGUY is seeking an exceptional Marketing Manager to plan, execute, and report on strategic marketing communications to grow sales, reach and engage new customers, increase retention, and expand customer loyalty for our 13 automotive dealerships. The ideal candidate is extremely well organized, a driven and enthusiastic team player who takes initiative, and will report to the VP of Marketing. This role partners with internal leadership and manages vendors to deliver results.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with General Managers and Department heads to determine priorities and monthly budget.
- Oversee ad agencies to develop advertising strategy and creative for paid search, social media, email, direct mail, TV, radio, print, and OOH.
- Manage dealership event planning including sales events, model launches, customer appreciation events, and sponsorship activations throughout the year.
- Serve as GM’s eyes and ears in keeping agencies/vendors on target and evaluating their performance.
- Oversee and manage dealership sponsorship/partner opportunities.
- Work with Manufacturer marketing representatives to coordinate and align their "Tier 1" marketing efforts with our more localized campaigns.
- Ensure all marketing materials and websites are compliant.
- Maintain monthly advertising budgets for each dealership.
- Maintain and update dealership websites.
- Manage and execute email blasts each month.
- Occasional copywriting for email blasts, display ads, etc.
- Manage Advertising Co-op Programs.
- Maintain monthly advertising reports tracking website traffic, showroom traffic, sales, internet leads, phone calls, etc.
- Manage local listings and social media sites.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing including: paid search, SEO, social (paid and organic), video, connected TV, etc.
- Automotive experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Experience managing monthly multi-channel campaigns.
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvement.
- Strong communication skills including presenting metrics and results to senior leadership.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Experienced in Excel, Google Analytics; familiar with Trello, Slack.
- BS/BA degree.
