Marketing Manager, Consumer Fragrance
About the role
The Marketing Manager, Consumer Fragrance will manage marketing strategy for assigned categories (Fabric Care & Home Care), including market analysis, identification of emerging consumer trends, and translation of insights into strategic client opportunities. Deliver against client needs and briefs through trend forecasting, concept ideation, and development of cohesive fragrance solutions based on consumer understanding. Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative Development, Sales, Applied Research, Global Category Management, and key partners to support innovation, business targets, and drive new opportunities. Serve as the North America partner to the Global Fabric & Home Care Category Leader, supporting the advancement of global programs and ensuring regional alignment. Deliver compelling, insight-driven presentations that engage clients and inspire confidence in winning new business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- A) Category Expertise and Management (35%)
- Serve as marketing expert for responsible categories, gaining an intimate knowledge of the category, brands and retail space; understanding the cadence of launches and promotions.
- Develop and maintain category overviews and brand playbooks for respective categories.
- Conduct research using secondary data sources such as trade journals, industry publications/data (IRI, Mintel, etc) social media platforms, & other internet sources to monitor the market and trends.
- Perform regular store checks and attend trade shows, exhibitions and presentations as needed.
- Utilize category knowledge to influence strategy and proactively identify new business opportunities.

- Implement NA marketing section of the global category plan.

About You
Required Qualifications:
- BA/ BS required; MBA beneficial.
- 5+ years of relevant marketing experience in consumer products categories. Fragrance/Flavor and/or CPG industry preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with clarity and confidence, bringing energy and engagement to both formal and informal presentations.
- Excellent written communication and storytelling capability.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and other similar platforms.
- AI experience and familiarity with generative AI tools for content development, analysis and work process optimization is essential.
- Experience with data analysis tools (i.e. Mintel, IRI, SPSS, Euromonitor, NPD, WGSN, etc.).
- Strong stakeholder management capabiliities and negotiation skills are a must.
- Highly creative and intuitive with a strong analytic mindset for interpreting data and trends.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to see the big picture, while remaining detail-oriented.
- Ability to navigate complexity and influence stakeholders across a matrixed organization.

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
