Marketing Manager 1

What We Need

We are seeking a Marketing Manager 1 to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team. The Marketing Manager 1 is responsible for collaborating with a cross-functional team to lead, develop, implement, and manage brand communication strategies and marketing plans for new and existing products.

What You Will Do

• Develop product, event, and brand plans for producing and delivering a wide range of marketing content to targeted audience segments highlighting company programs, initiatives, and services for new and existing products.
• Drive all phases of the product launch process from market research to launch to post-launch analysis.
• Work directly with internal functional groups, including Product Management, Digital Experience, Showrooms, Engineering, and Field Sales to execute tactics supporting the strategy.
• Engage and drive vendor relationships including design and communication firms, photographers and renderers, and printers in support of product and company initiatives.
• Create and manage project-specific budgets and timelines while monitoring progress to milestones and auditing expenses for cost-savings opportunities.
• Create and present clear and persuasive rationale for marketing campaign approaches.
• Work with leadership and cross-functional teams to understand, define, and drive business strategies and strategic marketing initiatives.
• Ensure brand is communicated effectively through review and editing of content, including websites, social media, newsletters, brochures, and other marketing channels.
• Partner with sales team to identify customer installations to develop case studies that effectively communicate the brand story.
• Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience is required; 4 years of experience preferred.

Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat Pro).
• Demonstrated knowledge with email communication tools (Exact Target, Constant Contact, Mail Chimp).
• Demonstrated history of excellent written and verbal communication skills, including but not limited to presentations, writing reports, meetings, emails, and telephone communications.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to isolate the causes from symptoms, involve others as appropriate, and research and implement solutions that show sound judgment.
• Proven business industry knowledge with history and in-depth understanding of organizational functions.
• The ability to build professional relationships and work collaboratively, establish and leverage established networks to share resources cross-functionally.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, effectively guide a team, and make decisions within the framework of the organization’s strategic intent.
