FiNC (The Future is Now Coalition) is citizens, candidates, and communities who all landed on the same thing: the system isn't broken, it's rigged, and it's working exactly as it was built to work. 3 middlemen decide which candidates you ever hear about: big money, party gatekeepers, and media manipulation. They control the money, the access, and the visibility every candidate needs to win. So they decide who wins before anyone votes, and good people run for office and stay invisible.

Here's why this can work when nothing else has. Every movement, third party, and reform group is pushing against the same status quo, and all of them are pushing alone. They were all trying to win. We're assembling the thing they all stand under. Citizens say what they care about, candidates say who they are, and the 2 sides connect with nobody in between. The coalition is the product.

About the role

FiNC is looking for a Marketing Lead Coordinator/Facilitator to keep our marketing team moving. This is a facilitation role first and a project management role second. You would not make the content. You would own whether it ships.

The problem you would solve: We are not short on ideas or on talent. Our marketing team is the strongest part of FiNC. What we are short on is the person in the room while those ideas are being discussed who makes sure nobody leaves without knowing what they own and when it is due. Without that person, a good idea gets discussed twice and built zero times. That is our real bottleneck, and it is the whole reason this seat exists.

Why this cannot be the Founder: Our Founder will be in those rooms, but as a participant. The conversation changes when he is the one running it: people bring him decisions instead of working them out with each other, and the collaboration we actually want stops happening. So facilitation has to come from someone else.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the collaboration
  • Run the marketing meetings. The team brings the ideas. You make sure the conversation lands on specifics: who, what, and by when
  • Talk out the details in the room rather than leaving them to be sorted over messages later
  • Get writers, designers, video, and social talking to each other instead of routing everything through the Founder
• Keep FiNC-Table current
  • FiNC-Table is our custom project management system, built on Airtable. Keeping it accurate is a core part of the job, not admin overhead
  • Every assignment has an owner, a date, and a current status. No orphaned tasks, no stale boards
  • Good digital operations hygiene: if it happened, it is recorded, and anyone can see where things stand without asking
• Move the pipeline
  • Hold the cadence so each part of marketing delivers something every cycle
  • Keep work flowing between the people who make it, so a draft never sits waiting on 1 person who did not know it was waiting
  • Unblock people before they have to ask, and escalate what you cannot unblock
  • Prepare the weekly check-in with the Founder so it takes minutes instead of hours

What this role does not do

• Quality control on the work. Our Founder owns that
• Setting strategy. Strategy here is collaborative and org-wide. It is not decided in this seat
• Making the work. The team makes it. You make sure it moves
• Being the expert in the room. You would lead people who know their craft better than you do. That is the design, not a compromise

Who we're looking for

• You run a genuinely good meeting. This is the single most important skill in the role. People leave knowing what they own, by when, without a follow-up email to figure it out
• You are comfortable asking the obvious question out loud. Who is doing this? By when? What is blocking it? Most people feel awkward asking. You cannot
• You are comfortable leading people who know more than you do about their own craft, and you do not need to prove otherwise
• Organized where other people can see it. If a commitment lives only in your head, it does not exist
• Fluent in project management tools. Ours is custom-built, so we care that you think in owners, dates, and status rather than that you know a specific platform
• You generate, you do not wait. We have learned that 1 person with real initiative outproduces a team of people waiting to be told
• Comfortable with direct feedback in both directions. Our Founder is autistic and communicates directly: detailed, specific, and without a lot of padding. FiNC is built largely by neurodiverse people, so this is just how the place runs. If you would rather hear what someone actually thinks than decode it later, you will like it here
• Politically agnostic by instinct. We host every position and take none, and that has to be real in how you work, not a script you follow

Compensation

Contributor roles are not paid yet; compensation is deferred. Team members contribute 15 to 20 hours per week during this phase, with compensation deferred until we are operational. Contributors who build this with us earn an ownership stake in FiNC. We are an LLC today because we needed a legal home to start from. We are building toward something akin to a nonprofit cooperative, where the people who build the organization own it, and we operate not for profit in the meantime.
