About DiligenceSquared

DiligenceSquared is an AI‑native consulting firm delivering investment‑grade market research and commercial due diligence, powered by AI agents and led by experienced consultants. The founding team brings deep experience from Blackstone and BCG, and the company is backed by Y Combinator and Relentless. Clients include five of the ten largest private‑equity firms worldwide, representing more than $3 trillion in combined AUM.

About the role

This is the first marketing hire at DiligenceSquared. You will work directly with the founders to shape the firm’s presence in the private‑equity market and convert that visibility into pipeline. The role involves building the entire marketing playbook from scratch, covering content, paid distribution, partnerships, events, and PR.

Responsibilities

  • Own the content calendar and publish across company and founder channels (LinkedIn posts, articles, case studies, research pieces, newsletters).
  • Collaborate with founders and delivery teams to turn client work and insights into compelling content.
  • Run and optimize paid campaigns on LinkedIn, search, and other relevant channels, handling creative, copy, targeting, testing, and performance measurement.
  • Develop marketing partnerships with vendors and organizations that reach target buyers, including co‑marketing, joint content, webinars, newsletters, and events.
  • Secure podcasts, conference speaking opportunities, panels, and media coverage to raise DiligenceSquared’s visibility.
  • Plan and execute events—from hosted dinners and roundtables to conferences, sponsorships, and VIP experiences—including concept, guest lists, invitations, execution, and follow‑up to generate pipeline.
  • Manage website content, structure, case studies, and landing pages; improve discovery through traditional search and AI assistants.
  • Track performance across channels and events, analyze drivers of engagement and pipeline, and continuously refine investment decisions.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in marketing, communications, content, investor relations, or a comparable client‑facing role, preferably in private markets, professional services, research, advisory, or another high‑trust B2B environment.
  • Excellent writing ability: translate complex ideas into clear, concise content for a sophisticated investment audience.
  • Strong editorial and brand judgment: know what is worth publishing and how to make it sharp and engaging without feeling over‑marketed.
  • Polished with senior audiences: comfortable hosting dinners for PE partners, building relationships with senior guests, and representing the firm professionally.
  • High initiative: able to develop a point of view and take ownership without detailed briefs.
  • Fluent with AI tools: incorporate AI into daily workflow to produce high‑quality work faster.
  • Commercial and analytical mindset: understand program costs, generated results, and where to invest.
  • Hands‑on and adaptable: capable of shaping strategy and executing details personally.
  • Bonus: experience marketing or selling to private equity; background at an investment firm, consulting firm, research business, or other professional services organization; working knowledge of paid marketing, SEO, and AI‑assistant content discovery; previous startup experience.

Benefits

  • First marketing hire at a YC‑backed company with real revenue and strong client traction.
  • Direct collaboration with founders who have experience at Blackstone and BCG.
  • Opportunity to define a new category where marketing is largely undeveloped.
  • Meaningful early‑stage equity and the chance to build the marketing function from the ground up.
  • Intellectually demanding work across complex industries, sophisticated clients, and high‑stakes decisions.
  • Small, senior team culture with regular offsites, team dinners, and shared meals.
  • Competitive compensation, high ownership, and minimal bureaucracy.

Compensation

Salary range: $110,000 – $150,000.
