About the role

The Polaris Marketing Internship (MIP) is a tailored 12-week paid summer internship designed for emerging sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in pursuing a career in the global powersports industry. As a Marketing Intern, you will be given impactful project-based assignments that directly align with business objectives across various segments within our Marketing division:

  • Brand and Product Marketing: Brand/Lifestyle Marketing, Insights and Analytics – how you create and capture through brand and product marketing.
  • Creative and Content: Social Media, Paid Media, Partnerships, Events – how creative and content creation drives business today and tomorrow.
  • Process and Go-to-Market: Ecommerce, Digital Production – how process, planning, and communication improve work.
  • Dealer and Channel: Channel, Retail, Owner Experience, In-Market and Key Market Impact – how dealership and sales channels impact our business.

We encourage flexibility and mobility to gain diverse experiences and make the most of your internship. Internship locations may include Plymouth, MN or Medina, MN.

This program serves as a primary feeder into our rotational leadership development program, providing foundational skills and experiences needed to excel in your career. Exceptional performers may be offered a returning internship or a full-time position upon completion.

  • Early Talent Summit Week: A 3-day immersive event in Wyoming, MN, bringing together all U.S. interns and DPs for professional development, networking, executive speakers, and team rides on Polaris vehicles.
  • Community Engagement: Opportunity to get involved in your local community.
  • Final Presentations: Present to senior-level leaders to showcase your career aspirations and recap your internship experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 12-week internship running 40 hours per week within one of the following date ranges:

  • May 17th – August 6th, 2027
  • May 31st – August 20th, 2027

Pay

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $20.50 to $28.50 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime. Individual pay is determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Strategic Communications, or a related business degree with an emphasis in Marketing, with an intended graduation date between August 2027 and May 2029.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Must be able to commit to a full 12-week internship.
  • Willing and able to relocate to Plymouth, MN or Medina, MN.
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
  • Must have reliable transportation for daily commuting to and from the office.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office software tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word).

Qualifications

  • Previous internship, co-op experience, or involvement in relevant projects.
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis, creative problem-solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.
  • Strong interest in long-term career development and participation in leadership development programs.
  • Previous leadership experience in work, organizations, or classroom settings.
  • Completion of at least two years of university coursework.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Benefits

  • Relocation Assistance: Polaris offers a relocation program for qualifying interns through our mobility vendor. To qualify, your home address must be 35 miles or more from the office where you will be working. Benefits include a lump sum (grossed up to offset tax liability) and access to a relocation counselor to aid in securing short-term housing.
