About the role

Polaris’ 12-week paid summer Marketing Internship (MIP) is designed for emerging sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in a career in the global powersports industry. The program serves as a primary feeder into our rotational leadership development program, offering foundational skills and experiences to excel in your career. Upon completion, interns who demonstrate exceptional performance and passion for learning may be offered a returning internship or a full-time position, depending on eligibility.

Internship locations include Plymouth, MN or Medina, MN. We encourage flexibility in placement to gain diverse experiences and broaden your skill set.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in impactful, project-based assignments directly aligned with business objectives across various marketing segments:
    • Brand and Product Marketing: Brand/lifestyle marketing, insights, and analytics.
    • Creative and Content: Social media, paid media, partnerships, and events.
    • Process and Go-to-Market: Ecommerce, digital production, planning, and communication.
    • Dealer and Channel: Channel, retail, owner experience, and in-market impact.
  • Participate in intentional programming and professional development, including:
    • Mentorship with a DP associate for support throughout the 12 weeks.
    • Weekly functional and centralized learning sessions to broaden knowledge.
    • Networking opportunities with peers and leaders at Polaris.
    • Intern Innovation Challenge: A cross-functional case study where teams present solutions to a real Polaris problem to executive leadership.
    • Early Talent Summit Week: A 3-day immersive event in Wyoming, MN, featuring professional development, networking, executive speakers, and team rides on Polaris vehicles.
    • Community engagement opportunities.
    • Final presentations to senior leaders, showcasing career aspirations and internship experiences.
  • Daily transportation to and from the office.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Strategic Communications, or a related business degree with an emphasis in Marketing, with an intended graduation date between August 2027 and May 2029.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Ability to commit to a full 12-week internship, working 40 hours per week, within one of the following date ranges:
    • May 17th – August 6th, 2027.
    • May 31st – August 20th, 2027.
  • Willing and able to relocate.
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
  • Must have reliable transportation for daily commuting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship, co-op experience, or involvement in relevant projects.
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis, creative problem-solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.
  • Strong interest in long-term career development and participation in leadership development programs.
  • Previous leadership experience in work, organizations, or classroom settings.
  • Completion of at least two years of university coursework.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Benefits

  • Relocation assistance for qualifying interns (home address must be 35+ miles from the office), including:
    • A lump-sum payment (grossed up to offset tax liability).
    • Access to a relocation counselor for resources and short-term housing assistance.

Pay

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $20.50 to $28.50 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime. Individual pay is determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
