Marketing Internship - Email Campaign Specialist

Job Summary

The Marketing intern will assist the Senior Marketing Manager and department in executing email strategy for digital engagement programs to support business initiatives. They collaborate with leadership and the marketing team to create and execute email campaigns to drive key metrics, including conversions, lead generation and traffic to our digital properties.

About the role

This position will serve the Sawyer, Michigan location but can be based onsite in our Chattanooga office. Reports to Senior Marketing Manager

Essential Functions

• Aid in day-to-day email marketing campaign execution, including planning, targeting, set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization
• Support the collection and reporting of advertising performance metrics, including basic ROI and effectiveness measurements
• Work under the supervision of the marketing team on the email production process and creation of every email
• Absorb and execute various email campaigns, including the template designs, calls-to-action, and content used in our email sends
• QA the different versions of the email campaign, including rendering testing
• Report on results and provide insights and recommendations
• Optimize emails for deliverability, mobile rendering, open rates, etc.
• Create documentation for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email
• Ensure email messages are properly constructed to adhere to company positioning and standards

Physical Demands

The individual in this position will spend several hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. He/she may also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Qualifications, Education And Experience

• Currently pursuing and undergrad degree in Marketing or a related field
• Adequate automotive aftermarket knowledge is preferred
