MindFire Communications is a full-service, award-winning marketing and branding agency offering brand development, creative, research, strategic planning, web/interactive, social media, media planning, content marketing, PR, data analysis, and video development. We are headquartered in beautiful downtown Le Claire, IA.
About the role
In this hourly, non-exempt internship role, you will work an estimated 15-20 hours per week. The internship is expected to begin on or around September 15, 2026 and end on or around December 15, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Assists in managing production by coordinating project timelines, monitoring deadlines, and routing creative projects through internal teams.
- Provides administrative assistance to account executives on day-to-day client activities, including responding to client phone calls and emails, scheduling meetings, building presentations, and organizing files.
- Gathers project requirements and coordinates with internal departments to prepare client proposals, estimates, and scopes of work.
- Takes notes at meetings, prepares and distributes meeting summaries and agendas as instructed by account executives.
- Proofreads copy, artwork, agency and printers’ proofs as requested, sees that all work completes the standard agency approval process before being reviewed by clients or turned over to suppliers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing, or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Advertising, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Previous marketing internship experience is a plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation.
- Must abide by the hybrid-remote work schedule, with in-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Schedule
Part-time, 15-20 hours per week. In-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
