Marketing Intern
About the role
The Marketing Intern assists with all stages of marketing campaigns, including drafting proposals, preparing presentations, and researching consumer trends to identify marketing needs. They will engage with cross-functional partners and learn from experienced marketing professionals.
Responsibilities
- Draft communication plans in support of Marketing Manager’s vision for new product launches and promotions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative content and collateral.
- Gather product samples and assist in conducting research to identify market trends to develop product shot lists.
- Participate in product and application photoshoots to capture new product features.
- Absorb copywriter feedback by entering product details into internal database for downstream partners.
- Prepare marketing proposals and presentations based on company needs.
- Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies, including continuing education of new marketing tactics and tools.
- Marketing experience on-or-off campus; either through part time jobs, academic clubs, or volunteer experiences.
- Experiences that demonstrate creative instinct, passion for marketing, deep consumer empathy, and passion for consumer brands.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex research into common language.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Aptitude with various social media platforms as well as the data tracking tools associated with them.
- Familiarity with consumer psychology and buying habits.
- Ability to quickly learn and process information.
- Must have time management, planning and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skill set with ability to find actionable, pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
