Marketing$20/hrInternship

Internship, 20 hours per week. Students welcome.

About The Role

We're looking for a marketing intern to own our brand's voice and presence — running our social media, creating the content and media that tell our story, and shaping how we talk about our products to the world. You'll be the creative engine behind how Innovative Timing Systems looks, sounds, and shows up in public. This role is what you make of it. We're looking for a self-starter who can take the reins and run without hand-holding — someone who will make the position their own and help drive the future of our brand, marketing, and messaging as we grow. We'll give you real ownership and trust; we expect you to run with it. It's a lot to own, and that's the point — if these are the things that excite you, you'll get to do all of them here. We're hiring for the long term. We want someone who can grow with us and step into a permanent, senior role as the company scales.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage our social media presence across platforms — plan, schedule, and publish consistent, on-brand content
  • Create original content and capture new media for the company — photo, video, and graphics — including shooting at live events
  • Design marketing materials across digital and physical formats — product brochures, banners, social graphics, and more (Canva or similar)
  • Write clear, compelling copy for posts, captions, product descriptions, and marketing materials
  • Analyze the marketing landscape and our audience, then develop and execute a plan to reach the right people
  • Shape and iterate on our brand image and story — how we look, sound, and feel across every touchpoint
  • Develop our messaging and "pitch" — how we talk about our products to customers and the public
  • Build and maintain a library of reusable media assets the whole team can draw on

Requirements

  • A self-starter who takes initiative and works independently — we'll hand you ownership of our brand, not step-by-step direction
  • Strong writing skills — you can turn an idea into clear, compelling copy
  • Hands-on content and media creation with Canva (or a comparable tool like Adobe Express, Figma, etc.)
  • Comfort managing social media and producing consistent, on-brand content
  • A portfolio or samples of your work — writing, social posts, designs, photos, video, or anything you've made (strongly preferred)
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience

Nice to have

  • Photography and/or videography skills, and comfort capturing content at live events
  • Experience with design tools beyond Canva (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Familiarity with social analytics and using data to guide content
  • Any experience building a brand or growing an audience — even a personal or side project

Pay

$20/hr

Schedule

Part-time, up to 30 hours/week — flexible around a class schedule

Location

On-site in Maryland Heights, Missouri — you'll be capturing events, shooting content, and collaborating with the team in person

Opportunity

We're hiring with the future in mind — this role is built to grow into a permanent, full-time position for the right person.
