Marketing & Growth Manager

About the role
Miller CAT Corp is a Texas-based manufacturer and distributor of catalytic converter shields, MCX skid plates, and related automotive protection products. We work with a network of distributors and OEM partners, and sell direct-to-consumer through Shopify and Amazon. We're a small, fast-moving team where everyone owns real outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Own email and distributor outreach campaigns — plan, draft (with AI assistance), and send campaigns through our CRM system to B2B, B2C, and distributor audiences
- Bring your own ideas on what campaigns should look like — we have sales, account, and customer data, but not deep expertise in what works for our specific industry. We want you to look at what we have, propose targeted campaign ideas, test them, and iterate based on what actually moves the needle
- Manage paid advertising — set up and run Google/Meta ad campaigns for our Shopify store, monitor spend and performance, and adjust based on results
- Own distributor and account outreach — use our Account Intelligence tooling to identify opportunities and craft outreach that grows existing distributor relationships
- Own our brand presence — content, social media, and Shopify storefront presentation, working closely with our in-house graphic designer to develop creative for current products and new product launches
- Turn our data into targeted, effective action — we track detailed sales, account, and customer behavior data across channels. Use it to segment audiences, identify opportunities, and make real, measurable changes to how we reach customers — not just report on what happened
- Direct AI-assisted workflows — review and refine AI-drafted campaign copy, outreach messages, and content rather than writing everything from a blank page
- Identify gaps and bring recommendations — you'll have real input into what campaigns, channels, and tools we should invest in next
What We're Looking For
- 3-6+ years of hands-on marketing experience, ideally at a small business, agency, or e-commerce brand where you were "the whole marketing department" rather than one specialist on a big team
- Real experience running email campaigns and paid ad accounts — not just strategy decks
- Comfortable working with (or quickly learning) CRM tools, Shopify, and basic marketing data/reporting
- Strong writing and content instincts — you can write good copy yourself and also know when an AI-drafted first pass isn't good enough
- A data-driven approach to campaign strategy — comfortable digging into customer/sales data to find segments and angles worth targeting, rather than running generic, one-size-fits-all campaigns
- Experience with influencer or partnership outreach — identifying the right people to work with and building relationships that actually convert to brand awareness or sales
- A builder/doer mentality — you want ownership and results, not a large team to manage
Bonus
- Experience in automotive, industrial, manufacturing, or distributor-based B2B sales environments
What This Role Is Not
- Not a CMO or executive strategy role on day one — no direct reports initially, though the role can grow into one as you build results
- Not a "big brand" or big-budget marketing job — this is scrappy, resourceful, small-business marketing
- Not a pure content/social role — this is revenue- and outreach-focused
Why This Role Is Different
Most marketing manager jobs ask you to build everything from zero, or to fit into a rigid process at a big company. Here, you'll have direct access to the CEO, real ownership over strategy and execution, and AI tooling that removes a lot of the repetitive drafting work — so you can spend your time on the parts of marketing that actually move revenue.
