About the role

The Marketing Faculty at IIGJ is responsible for teaching, training, and mentoring students in various aspects of marketing, with a focus on applications relevant to the Gems & Jewellery industry. The faculty member is expected to combine academic rigor with industry insights, ensuring students are prepared for real-world business environments.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures and practical sessions on Marketing, Branding, Digital Marketing, and Retail Management.
  • Integrate marketing concepts with the jewellery and luxury goods sectors.
  • Design and update course content to align with industry trends and academic standards.
  • Guide students in marketing projects, case studies, and internships.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions & Outreach team on promotional activities, workshops, and student recruitment campaigns.
  • Conduct seminars and guest lectures with industry professionals to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Evaluate student performance and maintain academic records as per the institute policy.

Required Profile

Educational Qualification

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, Management, or Business Administration from a reputed institute. Specialization in Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing, or Brand Management preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching or industry experience in marketing or retail, preferably in the luxury/fashion/jewelry domain.
  • Familiarity with modern marketing tools, digital platforms, and analytics software.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Required Functional Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of Entrepreneurship Development, Jewellery Brand Strategy & Promotion, Digital Marketing & Brand Communication, Jewellery Business Strategy, Structure & Operations, E-Commerce, and Corporate Readiness.
  • Industry exposure to marketing campaigns, digital brand building, jewellery business operations, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Teach and mentor students on theoretical concepts, industry practices, and case studies relevant to jewellery and lifestyle industries.
  • Designing and delivering course content, preparing curriculum, session planning, conducting assessments, and preparing results.
  • Provide one-on-one feedback and guidance to learners to enhance their skills and prepare them for industry readiness.
  • Coordinate with academic and industry partners for guest lectures, workshops, and live projects.
  • Perform ad hoc academic-related responsibilities as instructed by the Head of Department (HOD).

  • Passionate about teaching and imparting knowledge to the next generation of jewellery business professionals.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to integrate real-world business cases and technological advancements into teaching.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, e-commerce platforms, brand communication strategies, and modern pedagogical methods.
  • Ability to inspire entrepreneurial thinking and strategic decision-making among students.

Salary

Budget: Rs 5 Lac to 7 Lac per annum plus allowances and benefits.
