Marketing Events Intern (PT), Greenspun Media Group
About the role
Greenspun Media Group is seeking a Part-Time Marketing Events Intern to join our Events team. This team plans and executes dozens of events throughout the year in conjunction with the editorial calendars of our various publications. The Events department is looking for an intern who can work in a fast-paced team environment and will complete their internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of event planning and marketing.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support, ensuring accuracy of all department records and data.
- Oversee department inventory and manage organization of event materials.
- Assemble event collateral.
- Assist with exploring event partnership opportunities, including supporting trade agreements, event activations, and honoree upgrade sales efforts.
- Research and provide recommendations for potential event activations, sponsors, and gifted items.
- Provide creative ideas for event themes, decor, etc.
- Assist with set up and strike for all events.
- Assist with event planning and preparation.
- Assist with on-site social media for events.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a relevant college degree program with junior or senior standing. Recent graduates within 1 year of degree completion will also be considered.
- Preferred majors: Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with event planning/management or customer service preferred.
- Must be over the age of 21.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
