Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage day-to-day social media operations for NSC and MCB, including content planning, scheduling, publishing, and community engagement.
  • Responsible for all digital content including social media graphics, photography, short-form video, digital advertisements, and promotional materials for all departments, often with short turnaround time.
  • Monitor and report on social media, website, and email analytics, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance.
  • Aid with sponsor fulfillment through digital activations, in-game activations, website acknowledgments, and social media content.
  • Aid with creation and production of NSC and MCB marketing publications and external communications (Routine Basic Website Maintenance, Weekly Email Newsletters, Annual Report, Program and Media Guide, etc.).
  • Responsible for all event photos, editing, and photography; videography needs at events a plus.
  • Directly responsible for managing the department’s intern each semester. This position must educate and engage the intern for the benefit of the intern’s professional development.
  • Expectation is that employee will stay current on best practices and trends as it relates to the changing digital platforms such as responsive web design, social media, email communication, and consumer behaviors.
  • Aid event operations team as needed in the execution of all events for the NSC and MCB.
  • Recruit and manage a team of content creators at major events.
  • Aid with other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing & Strategy as well as the CFO and ultimately the President and CEO.

Ideal Candidate

  • Passion for digital marketing, social media and storytelling
  • Undergraduate degree in digital marketing, social media management, content creation, or a related field
  • 1-2 years experience in digital marketing, social media management, content creation, or a related field
  • Experience managing social media accounts, creating engaging content, and utilizing analytics to drive audience growth and engagement strategies
  • Experience with paid social media advertising and email marketing platforms
  • Proficient in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat; Premiere Pro and After Effects experience are a plus.
  • Experience with photography, short-form video creation, and content capture.
  • Experience editing websites using Strikingly.
  • Experience with live event production, run-of-show development, and script writing to support sponsor activations, promotional elements, and fulfillment of partnership obligations.

Other Qualifications

  • Must have a valid US driver’s license
  • Must be able to work Labor Day weekend and December 26-31 every year.
