Marketing Compliance Attorney (OB3 Legislation Experience)

The Position

A leading organization in the higher education industry is seeking an experienced Marketing Compliance Attorney or Marketing Compliance Professional to support its legal and compliance team during a significant increase in marketing review work.

You'll review a high volume of marketing materials against an established claims library and marketing manual to ensure all marketing claims comply with approved guidance. You'll identify claims that fall outside existing approvals, route those items for legal escalation, and partner with internal marketing teams to communicate review outcomes and help stakeholders find compliant paths forward.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting higher education marketing compliance and enjoys partnering with business teams in a collaborative, solutions-oriented manner. Success in this role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgment, communicates with a 'get to yes mindset', and remains effective even when internal stakeholders consider every request urgent.

Requirements

• Experience supporting higher education marketing compliance
• Familiarity with OB3 legislation
• Workfront experience

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one state
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing compliance or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with legal research tools
